Based in Lower Gornal Dudley, the Gornal Athletic U9s team are newly formed and at least half the players have not played as part of a team before, so this is a great opportunity for them.
The team required a new away kit along with new footballs and training tops, so Aston & Fincher have sponsored the team and provided these to them.
Manager of Gornal Athletic F.C U9s, Graham Ward, says “The company has shown that’s it’s proud of supporting up and coming, talented young kids and enable them to have a chance at playing football at grassroots level. Without this sponsorship, we had no away kit as we are a self-funded team and rely heavily on fundraising. For example, my assistant and Aston & Fincher employee Stuart running a marathon to raise money so the kids can have footballs, bibs, and various other pieces of football equipment.
The kids absolutely love the away kit! We’ve never had one and couldn’t afford one so from a personal point of view, I will forever be indebted to Aston & Fincher for making our kids feel like premier league footballers!”
