Steven Mason’s Dark Choc Razz
STARTING COLOUR:
Previously tinted hair on a Level 3.
FORMULA:
Roots: 30g 3.0 + 30g 3% NXT Developer with Olaplex added.
Mid Lengths and Ends: Zig zag highlights pre-lightened with NXT Pro-Tech Lightener with NXT 6% Developer with Olaplex added.
Then applied 50g 6.1 + 50g 6.77 equal parts NXT Developer 3% with Olaplex added
To Tone: Roots 40g 3.0 + NXT Semi-Permanent Cream Releaser with
Olaplex added. Mid lengths and ends 40g 6.77 +40g 9.13 equal parts
NXT Semi-Permanent Cream Releaser with Olaplex added.
Technique:
Basic root retouch application.
Backcombed zig zag highlights through Mohawk and sides and pre-lightened.
The back section was completely coloured, using 4 triangle sections.
To tone: apply to root leaving front triangle section for a root tap, meaning a little more pop at the front then using the other formula to saturate mid lengths and ends of each section.
Styled using iQ Blow Dry Cream with large round brush and curled with Valera Straighteners. Finished with iQ Hair Serum to further enhance gloss effect.
Tottie Murray’s Nude Blush
STARTING COLOUR:
Clean level 9-10 with yellow undertones, previously processed with bleach without toner.
FORMULA:
Roots: 20g Pink + 4g 7-66 36g NXT Semi-Permanent Cream Releaser with Olaplex added.
Mid Lengths and Ends: 30g 10-102 + 7g -66 and 55.5g NXT 3% developer with Olaplex added.
Technique: Full head application Section hair into 4 for ease and simplicity. It will develop quickly so use a wide Framar brush to help speed up application.
With fashion colour it’s good to use an oxidising semi-permanent colour so you get more product or weigh out enough product for each zone. I had to remix my end colour several times which is why I use scales so I can get precise measurements if I need to remix.

- Structure Spray
Technique:
1) Using NXT Metallic Pink 60 grams + 1 gram of NXT Permanent 6-66 + 61 grams of NXT Semi-Permanent Cream Releaser. This was applied to dry hair roots to points and processed for 35 minutes to create the pastelised pink result.
2) Emulsify with a little warm water and rinse thoroughly. Wash with iQ Daily Shampoo then Conditioner. Style as normal.
