What PPE is VAT free?

One of the queries we get is why some of our PPE items don't have VAT charged on them, for example gloves, and why some do. A lot of general information doing the rounds suggests that all PPE items won't have VAT applied, but this isn't the case. There are different specifications of masks, and only some qualify. We won't charge VAT on any items which have been classed as medical-grade.

All the products we stock which are VAT Free PPE have a label on them.
